Cafe imposes a surcharge for customers using their mobile phone while being served

NSW Central Coast café, Bella Natural Food Co has introduced a surcharge of 50c to customers who us their mobile phone whilst being served at the counter.

Bravo, I say.

These days, people are becoming too dependant and attached to their mobile devices. Living in this virtual environment means people are unaware of their surroundings and fail to remember even the simplest form of common courtesy.

Do you think this surcharge is warranted? Or should the café get off their soap box and move with the times?

Definitely! So bad mannered to do that.
NO mobile device replaces courtesy to another human being, IMO.
Great idea! Many of the phone using customers probably wouldn't notice anyway.
